THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN UWEC AND HLECO
The company of history should be traced a joint venture company named Hold Longterm Enterprise Co., Ltd. (HLECO) was found by the director Mr. Daniel Tseng in 1981 (40 years ago). the business was starting from the import of industry product Sootblower (as the Bergemann/Germany Agent in Taiwan) and related piping system supplied to the local customer at the beginning.
During 1987 -2000, there are two Naphtha cracking projects constructed in Taiwan. e.g (CPC No.5 unit, 1987 -1990), (FPC No.6 unit, 1994-1998 ), the whole of the island of country was heavy develop the petroleum and petrochemical industries. HLECO has involved in many projects on the boiler, pressure vessel and piping construction works. either supplied the order of raw material, equipment and spare parts to the above mentioned two customers, or delivery it to their down-steam private owned companies on their expansion project.
At that time, the increasing of power consumption forced TPC have to build up the new power plant or retrofit the existing of power plane enlarge their capacity to fulfill the huge energy requirement. for saving the energy and cost down on the production, many of the IPP and Cogeneration plant projects are constructed in the down-steam petrochemical plant and paper and pulp industries.
With the new and more strictly of EPA standard, many refuse of incinerator plants (24) was build in the major cities. also, some of the existing of old boiler and ESP of revamping project are design and rebuild widely.
According to the Government of P/O regulation, the requisition and tender should be public announcement and limited to receive 3 bidder’s official the quotation. otherwise, the tender should be cancel, re-opened or propound.
The boom of industries business in Taiwan, many customers requested HLECO, not only imported the equipment supplied to their plant, but also handle the local of the equipment installation and construction works. the extension of the scope and works makes the HLECO should do some local engineering works to match the customer requirements. for this purpose, Uni-World (UWEC) was found and fully penetrated into this field to fulfill customer requirements.
